Degu’s are beautiful

I don’t think I could have put anything other than the title above. Of late, I’ve had an absolute fascination and love for these beautiful little creatures called Degu’s. Degu’s are small rodents that can be extremely tame and very friendly. I love Hamsters and well in fact any animal in the world but when I went with my boyfriend to Pets at Home, we just fell in love with the little degu’s there. They were really friendly, always sniffing and showing us that they could eat carrot trying to make us jealous because we didn’t have any carrot of our own. Even though the little critters are so small, the cage and everything that they need costs around £200 which is quite a lot considering everything needed for a hamster only costs around £50-£60. I absolutely wish that I could have a Degu but with Student accommodation that I live in it would be impossible to even own a pet spider unless it sneaked through the window :P Here is a picture of the cutest little critter ever :

I wish I had my own picture of the two cute ones in Pets at Home but I don’t think we are allowed to take photos there :(

We never seem to run away

These last couple of days, weeks, months have gone so fast it’s unbelievable. I remember moving out of Swansea only yesterday and now it’s only a month before I move into my new house in Swansea. My first year at university already flew by but it’s remarkable just how fast time seems to fly by both when we are having fun and when we are working. I’m really excited to go back to University so that I can have my independence and also to be able to see all of my friends from University once again. I’ve had a pretty awesome summer so far being able to see my old school friends and meeting up with my two best friends. I still can’t quite get my head around how fast this summer has flown by.

During this rather long summer, I’ve spent most of my time going out with friends, doing a hell of a lot of gaming, seeing my boyfriend and then of course, going on holiday to France for 2 and a half weeks. It was an average holiday in France but the biggest let down was the weather. I was able to have internet every now and again and I found out that back in Cardiff, it was nice and sunny whereas over in France there was always lightening storms and rain :( As you might have gathered, I didn’t spend much of my time going out and about visiting the little villages in Burgundy and in total, we had two full days going to see a place called Avallon, a Medieval place that I can’t quite remember the name of and a small village called Chateau Neuf which had a beautiful castle there. My brother also wasn’t on holiday with me which is the first time I’ve ever been on holiday without my brother :( It often made me sad that I couldn’t speak to him and it just wasn’t the same without him.

I’ve obviously been doing quite a lot of gaming of late. I just can’t seem to get any web design inspiration which has really irritated me and I wasn’t able to complete my entry for Cali’s Alice in Wonderland contest because of lack of inspiration to make anything at least decent (I attempted a good layout for ages but nothing worked :( ) and then the time factor also made it hard for me to make a decent entry. So I’m hoping that soon, I’ll get my inspiration back hopefully before university :) So gaming wise, I’ve been playing Left for Dead 2, Borderlands, Alien Swarm on the PC mainly via Steam and then the Halo games, Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 on Xbox. I didn’t used to play many games on PC but I’m slowly getting drawn back into the whole PC and online gaming thing. And I couldn’t believe the other day that I actually pre-ordered the Limited edition version of Fable 3 which looks absolutely awesome. I’m excited about Fable 3 as it is but when I saw the limited edition and the extra stuff you get, I couldn’t resist pre-ordering it.

Big Question here: Does anybody else have a Steam account? I would love to play with other people online other than just a few friends :)
